The Time in Zones Report
Monitor exactly how long vehicles spend at customer sites, depots, and defined areas.
The Time in Zones Report shows you exactly how long your vehicles spend in your predefined geographical areas. Whether you're tracking time at customer sites, monitoring depot visits, or ensuring delivery windows are met, this report gives you precise duration data for every zone interaction.

Accessing the Time in Zones Report
Navigate quickly to your zone duration data.
Steps to access
- Open Reports section – Click "Reports" in the sidebar menu
- Select Time in Zones tab – Click on "Time in Zones" from the report tabs
Note: The help text reminds you that this report only works if you have zones configured on your account.
Setting up your report
Configure the report to show the zone data you need.
Step 1: Select date range
Using the date picker:
- Click the calendar icon next to date field
- Choose from quick options:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
- This month
- Last month
- Custom Range
For custom dates:
- Click start date on calendar
- Click end date
- Confirm selection
Tip: Use longer date ranges to identify patterns in zone visit durations.
Step 2: Choose vehicles or devices
Filter options:
- Click dropdown below date picker
- Select from:
- All vehicles and devices (default)
- Individual vehicles
- Multiple specific vehicles
Best practice: Start with all vehicles to see complete zone activity, then filter for specific analysis.
Step 3: Run the report
Generate zone data:
- Click green "Run Report" button
- Report loads with all zone visits
- Each row shows one zone interaction
Understanding the report columns
Each column provides specific information about zone visits.
Data fields explained
Name – Vehicle identifier
- Shows custom vehicle names
- Helps identify which asset visited
Rego – Registration number
- Official vehicle registration
- Useful for compliance records
Entry Time – When vehicle entered zone
- Exact timestamp (DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS)
- 24-hour format
- Records crossing into zone boundary
Exit Time – When vehicle left zone
- Exact timestamp of departure
- Shows "Presently in zone" if still inside
- Updates when vehicle crosses boundary
Zone Name – Which zone was visited
- Your custom zone names
- As configured in zones section
- Multiple visits show separately
Duration – Total time in zone
- Format: HH:MM:SS
- Calculated from entry to exit
- Continues counting if still in zone

This shows: Vehicle has been parked in zone for over 214 hours (about 9 days).

Filtering zones
To select specific zones:
- Click "Options" button
- See list of all zones
- Tick zones to include
- Apply filters
- Run report again
When to filter:
- Focus on customer sites only
- Exclude depot/parking zones
- Analyse specific regions
- Reduce data volume

No data showing
Check:
- Zones are properly created
- Vehicles actually visited zones
- Date range includes visits
- Zones are active
"Presently in zone" issues
Reasons:
- Vehicle still genuinely in zone
- Vehicle parked there
- Tracker lost power in zone
- GPS signal lost
Solutions:
- Verify vehicle location
- Check tracker status
