Power supply disconnected or low
Fix low voltage and disconnected power alerts on your Track My Ride GPS tracker with these simple troubleshooting steps.
Your GPS tracker needs constant power to work properly. If the power is interrupted or the voltage drops too low, you'll see a red error message on the device in your Map or Vehicles page. Click on the error icon for more details about the alert.
How to fix this issue:
1. Check the power supply
- Make sure your tracker is receiving continuous power from your vehicle. The tracker needs a steady voltage supply to operate.
2. Check all cable connections
- At the tracker: Make sure the 12-pin cable is firmly plugged into the tracker device
- Hardwired installations: Check that all wire connections are secure and haven't come loose. If you're not confident checking wiring yourself, have a qualified auto electrician inspect the connections
- OBDII plug-and-play installations: Make sure the OBDII cable is fully pushed into your vehicle's OBDII port (usually located under the dashboard near the steering wheel)
