What does Track My Ride actually do?

Track My Ride shows you exactly where your vehicles are in real-time. Our GPS trackers update every few seconds while your vehicle is moving, so you always know where your vehicles are and where they've been. Whether you're running a business or protecting your personal car from theft, we've got you covered.

What is "real-time tracking"?

Real-time tracking means you can see where your vehicle is right now, not 10 minutes ago. Our trackers automatically update your vehicle's location every few seconds while it's moving. The location is usually accurate to within 3 metres. You can check your vehicle's location anytime through our website or smartphone app.

Can I see where my vehicle has been in the past?

Yes! Our GPS playback feature lets you look back and see exactly where your vehicle was and how fast it was travelling at any time in the past. The Lite Plan shows the past 31 days of history, while higher plans offer more.

How do I know which driver was using each vehicle?

We offer an optional Driver ID keyfob system. Your drivers simply tap their keyfob when they get in the vehicle, and our system automatically records who was driving. Contact our sales team on 1300 553 022 or email sales@trackmyride.com.au to add Driver ID to your account.

What information can I see about my vehicles?

Beyond location, you can see:

  • Current speed and direction
  • Total distance travelled
  • Engine hours
  • Battery voltage
  • And much more

Will the tracker work in my vehicle?

Yes! Our GPS trackers work with both 12V and 24V vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, etc.). Installation is simple – we include a plug-and-play OBDII cable and a hardwiring loom, so you can install it yourself in under a minute.

What reports can I generate?

We provide detailed reports including:

  • Journey reports and summaries
  • Tax logbook (for claiming vehicle expenses)

Can I give other people access to my account?

Yes! You can create sub-accounts with customised permissions for team members or family. This lets you share access to your tracking data without sharing your login details. Each person gets their own login with only the permissions you choose.
