Creating your account

Set up your Track My Ride account in minutes and start tracking with your first month free.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • Your tracker's Communication ID (found on the box and on the tracker itself)
  • An email address
  • A credit card, debit card, or Australian bank account for verification

How to create your account

Step 1: Go to the activation page

Visit https://www.trackmyride.com.au/activate

Or download the Track My Ride app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.


Step 2: Enter your email and create a password

Choose a secure password for your account.


Step 3: Verify your email address

We'll send you an email with a verification code. Enter the code when you receive it.

Didn't get the email? Check your spam or junk folder!


Step 4: Add your tracker

Enter your tracker's Communication ID (found on the box and printed on the tracker).

Give your tracker a name – we recommend using your vehicle's registration number or a name like "Work Van" or "Family Car".

Note: Only Track My Ride branded trackers are supported.


Step 5: Enter your personal details

Fill in all your relevant account details in the specific sections.


Step 6: Choose your subscription plan

Pick the plan you want after your free trial ends. Not sure which plan? Check out https://www.trackmyride.com.au/pricing

Good news! All new accounts get the first month FREE on our Fleet Metrics plan, regardless of which plan you choose for later.

During your free trial, you can test all the features. You won't be charged until the trial ends. If you don't want to continue, just cancel before the trial expires.


Step 7: Add your payment method

Enter your credit card, debit card, or Australian bank account details.

Why do we need this now? Australian telecommunications laws require us to verify your identity with payment details, even during the free trial.

When will I be charged?

  • Not today!
  • Not during your free trial
  • Only after your free trial ends (usually 1 month)
  • If you have prepaid credits from our team, those will be used first

Want to avoid being charged? Just cancel before your trial ends.


Step 8: You're done!

Congratulations! Your account is set up and ready to go.

Your tracker is now being activated on the mobile network. This usually takes 5 minutes, but can take up to 60 minutes.
